I LOVE FRIDAYS: MATT CERF & JAREN - Electronic music sensations Matt Cerf & Jaren are taking the scene by storm. The group's first album (with partner Shawn Mitiska) is due for an early 2010 release on Armin Van Buuren's acclaimed ARMADA label. The hotly anticipated album will feature the hits "You Never Said" - nominated for a 2008 IDMA award (Best HiNRG / Euro Track) and voted the #6 song of 2008 by "A State of Trance" listeners - and "Man On The Run", Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren's powerhouse collaboration with fellow trance favorites Dash Berlin. Armin Van Buuren remixed their latest single, "Beggin’ You", which is fast becoming a new classic.

Cerf, Mitiska and Jaren established themselves in 2006 with the release of "Light The Skies" (Baroque/Armada), which garnered massive airplay from Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto and Paul Van Dyk, and has since become a dancefloor favorite. Rocketing to a number 3 position on the Dutch Dance Charts, the track is featured on Armin Van Buuren's "A State of Trance 2007" and on dozens of other compilation albums.
From this auspicious debut, Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren are one of the most featured acts on Armin Van Buuren's Year Mix compilations and have been nominated for International Dance Music Awards in 2007 and 2008.
Matt is also a prolific remixer, finessing tracks for Armin, Gabriel & Dresden, Lange and Matt Darey. In addition to singing on chart topping songs, Jaren also writes them, penning "Unforgivable", a hit single from Armin's 'Imagine', an album that cracked the U.S. Billboard Top 200 chart -- no small feat for a dance record. The music video is racking up views on Youtube (over 2 million and counting) and on European TV channels, and Jaren has performed as a guest artist on the Armin Only tour in cities around the globe.
